Registration Information

We welcome new students to our school and we will begin accepting registrations for the upcoming school year in Kindergarten through Grade Nine in January. Provided we have space and resources available, resident (Catholic) and non-resident students may register at St. Edmund.

All students at St. Edmund, including those registered in our Kindergarten program or Sports Academies, receive International Baccalaureate (IB) programming. Junior High students who register in Sports Academies may choose between a certificate or a non-certificate route for the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme.

Students who wish to enroll in one of our Sports Academies must meet entrance requirements (Please visit our Sports Academies page for more information).

Transportation is provided for Junior High students who reside within our boundary areas at a distance of 2 km or more from the school. Transportation for students who reside outside of our school bus boundaries is the responsibility of the parent. To determine if you are within the St. Edmund boundary area, simply type your address into the online tool on the ECSD “Schools” page. Please select “regular” program when using this tool.
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide bussing for elementary students.

Enrollment and Acceptance into St. Edmund

Students are accepted in accordance with ECSD Administrative Procedure 300.

Student acceptance into a sport academy has additional requirements, which include:

  • Minimum skill level.
  • Space.
  • Ability to participate independently.
  • Ability to positively contribute to the competitive nature of the academy.

In order to run the academy efficiently, some students may be accepted into an academy that are non-resident/non-catchment area students. In these cases:

  • Acceptance into an academy program does NOT entitle siblings or members of the same household to also attend St. Edmund.
  • Removal or withdrawal from an academy program will require students to return to their designated school.

If you are interested in our Sport Academy Programs and require further information, please contact our School Office.
